A popular golf simulator inside the One Niagara Welcome Center is planning to open a new location in Niagara County.

Links Golf and Tap owner Nicholas LoTempio said its second location will be inside the Remington Lofts building at 184 Sweeney St. in North Tonawanda. It will be on a ground-floor space next to the Remington Tavern and Blush Salon.

He anticipates it being a two-month buildout starting next week, with a goal of opening by Dec. 1.

“This was always a goal when I started the business, to expand and open up multiple locations,” LoTempio said, who opened it December 2021. “Business is doing well in the Falls, which gave me the opportunity to expand.”

Like the Niagara Falls location, this will have four Trackman Golf Simulator stations and a bar and kitchen area. While serious golfers can work on their game during the offseason, casuals can still stop by to eat and give them a try.

Business for LoTempio so far has been great with it selling out every weekend in winter, showing him that he can do another location.

LoTempio markets his place as Niagara County’s premier golf lounge so he wanted to remain in Niagara, but be closer to Erie County. Remington Lofts lies along the canal side in North Tonawanda near where Canalfest takes place.

The project will cost around $300,000, with $200,000 coming from LoTempio and the remaining $100,000 coming from the Gold Wynn real estate company, which owns the Remington Loft building.

Given how successful this new location will be, LoTempio may take this golf simulator concept into Erie County, as Gold Wynn owns a few buildings in downtown Buffalo.

“Its the second one of hopefully many more,” LoTempio said.
